1 fonte(s) · 1 atualização(ões) · publicado 18/06/2024 11:54 · coletado há 1 dia

Trend Micro announced that its managed detection and response (MDR) service, delivered through the Trend Vision One platform, detected 15/15 major attack steps in the 2024 MITRE Engenuity ATT&CK Evaluations for managed services. The vendor says 86% of those steps were analyzed in an actionable way. The evaluation was run in early 2024 and emulated the behavior of the state-aligned group menuPass (APT10) and the ransomware-as-a-service operation BlackCat/ALPHV. This is a vendor press release about product performance, not a real-world incident, and it carries no new threat information or immediate action for defenders.

Technical Details

  • The evaluation emulated adversary TTPs of menuPass (APT10) and BlackCat/ALPHV. The article gives no specific techniques, IOCs or CVEs.
  • Trend reports that the service kept alert volume low, which it says helps reduce analyyst fatigue.
  • Trend cites more than 3,000 enterprise MDR customers and a 100% detection rate in MITRE Engenuity evaluations since 2020. These figures are vendor claims.
