Cloudflare and VoidZero open-source Void Platform, SDK and CLI for deploying Vite apps to Cloudflare

Cloudflare and VoidZero announced the open-source release of three products, Void Platform, Void SDK and Void CLI. They bring server routing, typed data access and Cloudflare deployment into a single Vite workflow, and ship as one npm package and Vite plugin (npm install void). The release follows VoidZero joining Cloudflare. The stated motivation is that companies want to encourage vibe-coded internal apps without giving every employee direct cloud access. Technical Details

  • Void Platform is a self-hosted shared deployment environment built on Workers for Platforms. It requires a Cloudflare account with Workers for Platforms and R2 enabled, plus a login provider. Admins control access, set resource limits and inspect deployments and usage.
  • Void SDK turns a Vite app into a full-stack Cloudflare Workers app. It infers bindings and auto-provisions resources such as D1 databases, queues and AI bindings (via AI Gateway). It uses Hono for APIs and Better Auth for authentication.
  • Void CLI is built on the new cf CLI. It handles void connect and void deploy, and is designed to work with coding agents.
