CERT-FR advisory CERTFR-2026-AVI-1315 reports multiple vulnerabilities in Microsoft Azure components, published on 14 October 2026. Some of them allow remote arbitrary code execution, privilege escalation, security policy bypass and loss of data confidentiality. Microsoft published the corresponding security bulletins on 13 October 2026. The advisory does not state that any of these flaws are being exploited.

Technical Details

  • Affected: Arc Enabled Servers - Azure Connected Machine Agent before 1.68, Azure CLI before 1.0.7, Azure CycleCloud 8.9.1 before 8.9.2, Azure DevOps CLI Extension before 1.0.7, and Azure HDInsight before 2606012120.
  • Affected SDKs: the Azure Key Vault client SDKs (azure-keyvault-administration, -certificates, -keys, -secrets and -securitydomain before 1.0.0b3), the Rust crates azure_security_keyvault_certificates, _keys and _secrets before 1.0.1, Azure Storage Blobs client library for Java and azure-storage-blob-batch.
  • The advisory lists these CVEs: CVE-2026-100207, CVE-2026-69877, CVE-2026-85891, CVE-2026-85922, CVE-2026-85925, CVE-2026-88094, CVE-2026-88132 and CVE-2026-96204.
  • The advisory does not map CVEs to individual components and gives no IOCs, attribution or exploitation details.

Remediation

  • Apply the fixed versions listed in the Microsoft security bulletins (MSRC update guide) for each CVE.
  • Update the affected Azure SDKs, CLI tools and agents to the fixed versions listed above.
