Runware plans factory mass-production of modular AI data center pods
Runware, an AI infrastructure company, told TechCrunch it intends to mass-produce its Sonic Inference Pod modular data centers on an automotive-style assembly line at its Romania-based factory. The company targets 30 megawatts of capacity per day by 2028 (nearly 1 gigawatt per month) and claims pods can be brought online within 48 hours of installation. Runware says it has raised over $60 million, including a $50 million Series A last December, and claims $1 billion in committed interest representing over 20 megawatts. The pods use closed-loop liquid cooling with air-cooled radiators, rely on Nvidia for networking, and source some components from Germany. This is business and infrastructure news with no security incident, vulnerability or threat activity described.
