Microsoft Previews Taskbar Streaming for Android Apps via Phone Link

1 fonte(s) · 1 atualização(ões) · publicado 04/11/2026 23:22 · coletado há 1 hora

Microsoft is testing a feature in Windows 11 preview builds that lets users search for and launch Android applications directly from the taskbar search box via the Phone Link platform. The apps run entirely on the paired smartphone's processor while the PC streams the display and relays keyboard/mouse input, differing from the discontinued Windows Subsystem for Android, which used local virtualization. This is a product/feature announcement with no security vulnerability or incident involved.

Detalhes técnicos

The feature requires both devices on the same Wi-Fi network, Phone Link paired and authenticated, and Bluetooth enabled for input stability. Support is currently limited to select OEM devices from Samsung, Honor, OPPO, ASUS, vivo, Xiaomi, iQOO, Realme, and OnePlus with deep Link to Windows integration; unsupported hardware only gets notification sync. The capability is currently exclusive to Windows 11 experimental preview builds.
