CISA Launches 2026 Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience Month Campaign
CISA launched its annual Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience Month campaign on November 3, 2026, under the theme 'Resolve to be Resilient,' running throughout November. The initiative urges critical infrastructure owners and operators to strengthen preparedness, understand dependencies, and improve operational continuity and recovery planning amid geopolitical shifts, AI advances, and evolving cyber and physical threats to the nation's 16 critical infrastructure sectors. Acting CISA director Nick Andersen emphasized that resilience depends on organizations understanding their systems and maintaining actionable plans for when incidents occur. The agency is distributing a campaign toolkit, guidance, and resources including the CI Fortify program and an SLTT Security Operations Center (SOC) Call series to support network defenders. This is an awareness and policy initiative rather than a report of an active incident or vulnerability.
Remediação
CISA recommends organizations identify their most critical systems and external dependencies, prioritize relevant risks, develop and test actionable response/recovery plans, and continuously update plans based on lessons learned. Resources highlighted include the Interagency Security Committee guidance, CISA's infrastructure resilience tools, the CI Fortify page for proactive isolation and recovery planning against disruptive cyberattacks, the SLTT SOC Call analyst exchange forum, and the DHS Cybersecurity Grant Program for eligible organizations.
