1 fonte(s) · 1 atualização(ões) · publicado 30/10/2026 13:14 · coletado há 2 dias

Google published release notes for early access updates to Gemini for Home and software updates to the Google Home app. They list 42 bug fixes and general improvements across cameras, doorbells, speakers, Nest Wi-Fi, Google TV Streamer and in-app controls. The article describes no security vulnerabilities, threat activity or CVEs. The changes cover usability and reliability: better room awareness for Gemini voice commands, fixes for cameras that stalled or crashed when reconnecting after brief outages, and an iOS bug that wrongly showed Nest Thermostats as Offline. Older Nest Cam and Nest Doorbell models also moved to the Google Home app as Google phases out the legacy Nest app.

Detalhes técnicos

  • Gemini now handles music transfer between rooms (e.g. "move the music here") and no longer lets a nearby speaker respond to a volume command aimed at a speaker in another room.
  • Fixes were made to timer and alarm volume, unprompted responses from speakers and displays, and YouTube TV commands on smart displays.
  • In the Google Home app, iOS users no longer get a "Video Not Available" error when scrolling to the end of an event, and foldable Android phones no longer error when folding or unfolding during a live view.
  • Nest Cam (1st gen), Nest Cam Outdoor (1st gen), Nest Doorbell (wired, 1st gen / Nest Hello), Nest Cam IQ Indoor and Nest Cam IQ Outdoor have migrated to the Google Home app.
  • A software update fixes cameras stalling or crashing when reconnecting after brief power or Wi-Fi interruptions.
  • The wired 1st-gen Nest Doorbell gets improvements to Familiar Face detection and audio/video synchronization.
