Industrial Defender Adds INSM and Risk Signal to Support NERC CIP-015 Compliance and Prioritized OT Patching

1 fonte(s) · 1 atualização(ões) · publicado 21/10/2026 10:02 · coletado há 1 dia

Industrial Defender, an OT cybersecurity vendor, released a new platform version adding internal network security monitoring (INSM) and Risk Signal, announced via a CyberNewswire press release on October 20, 2026. The INSM capability targets the FERC-approved NERC CIP-015-1 standard, which requires entities with high and medium impact BES Cyber Systems to monitor internal network traffic, detect and evaluate anomalies, and retain the resulting data. This is a product announcement with no threat, vulnerability or incident described. The vendor plans to demonstrate the capabilities at GridSecCon 2026 in Orlando.

Detalhes técnicos

  • INSM learns each device's baseline communications and flags deviations such as new connections, unexpected protocols, anomalous traffic volume and unknown devices communicating.
  • Each anomaly is correlated with asset data including configuration changes, vulnerabilities and risk score.
  • Review decisions are logged with reviewer, timestamp and rationale to produce audit-ready evidence mapped to CIP-015.
  • Risk Signal builds on a customer's existing risk model to identify patches and upgrades with the greatest risk reduction for the least operational effort, publishes prioritized playbooks into existing work-management systems, verifies patch application and updates the asset risk score.
