CrowdStrike announced agreements to acquire AI agent observability firm Fiddler AI and AI security testing company Dreadnode, in deals reportedly worth a combined $495 million according to The Wall Street Journal. CrowdStrike has not disclosed official financial terms but is reportedly paying roughly $400 million for Fiddler and about $95 million for Dreadnode, paid mostly in cash with a stock component subject to vesting. The deals are expected to close in Q4 of CrowdStrike's fiscal year 2027 (ending January 31, 2027). Fiddler's technology will be sold as Falcon Observe, monitoring AI agents, tracing reasoning and tool calls, and detecting behavioral drift and hallucinations, while Dreadnode's offensive AI testing platform will feed findings into Falcon Guardian. CrowdStrike also introduced an AI Kill Switch within Falcon Guardian to halt misbehaving AI agents.

Detalhes técnicos

Fiddler, founded in 2018 and based in Palo Alto, adds pre-deployment evaluation of AI agents, compliance audit logging, and token usage/spend tracking. Dreadnode, founded in 2023, runs over 100 known AI attack strategies—including jailbreaks, prompt injection, and multi-turn/agent-specific attacks—against AI models, agent reasoning loops, applications, and MCP servers, mapping findings to OWASP Top 10 for LLMs, MITRE ATLAS, and NIST AI RMF frameworks. The Dreadnode team, led by CEO Brad Palm, will join CrowdStrike's Cyber Superintelligence Lab, with testing capabilities expected generally available in Q4 fiscal 2027. This follows a string of recent CrowdStrike acquisitions, including identity security firm SGNL ($740 million) and browser security company Seraphic ($420 million) in January, and AI security firm Pangea in September 2025.
