ServiceNow and Nvidia release Arc, an enterprise AI agent with runtime and hardware-enforced security controls

1 fonte(s) · 1 atualização(ões) · publicado 21/10/2026 08:30 · coletado há 2 dias

ServiceNow and Nvidia announced general availability of Arc, a long-running personal AI agent for enterprise productivity tasks such as email and Microsoft Teams. Arc was first announced in May and is available now on Mac, with Windows support still pending. It is designed for Nvidia's new RTX Spark devices and can run locally or inside Nvidia OpenShell. The vendors position the product around security, following what the article calls a summer of agent-led breaches, by moving policy enforcement beyond the software layer into the runtime and hardware layers. This is product news with no direct threat or incident.

Detalhes técnicos

  • ServiceNow Super Intelligence Control Tower is where IT defines and enforces company policies for agents.
  • Nvidia OpenShell enforces those policies at runtime and restricts agent behavior, including which systems, APIs and data the agent can access.
  • AI Passport, announced the previous week, holds the enterprise's rules on risk tolerance and permitted services, and bridges ServiceNow infrastructure with Nvidia's checkpoints.
  • When a passport is revoked in the Control Tower, OpenShell contains the affected task in a sandbox for later audit. The interruption is task-specific, so other approved agent actions continue.
  • Nvidia BlueField can enforce the revocation at machine speed in silicon, intended to prevent overrides from compromised software.
  • Arc hands complex tasks to frontier models only when necessary and keeps data as local as possible.
