Cyberhaven Launches Agentic Data Security Module to Monitor AI Agent Data Access
Cyberhaven announced Agentic Data Security (ADS), a new module within its Cyberhaven Flow platform designed to give security teams visibility and control over how AI agents interact with corporate data. The product addresses emerging insider-risk concerns as AI agents operate with the access privileges of the employees they serve, enabling rapid, machine-speed data movement across files, databases, and workflows. According to Cyberhaven Labs, endpoint-based agentic AI app adoption doubled year-over-year, reaching 60% in May 2026, driving demand for governance tools. This is a product launch announcement rather than a vulnerability disclosure or incident report.
Detalhes técnicos
ADS provides four core capabilities: discovery of all AI tools and agents across endpoints, cloud, and browsers (including unsanctioned/shadow AI apps) with risk scoring; capture of prompts, tool calls, file reads, reasoning traces, and responses for inspection; attribution of agent actions to the human or system initiating them; and real-time policy enforcement to block sensitive data exfiltration before it leaves the environment. The module extends Cyberhaven's existing DLP, insider risk management (IRM), and DSPM capabilities—originally built for human users—to agentic workflows, using data lineage tracking as the architectural foundation rather than introducing separate tooling or policy sets.
