Series of Bomb Threats Disrupt Ten Flights Across Europe
On 5 November, at least ten commercial flights operated by Aer Lingus, Finnair, LOT, and Wizz Air were diverted or made emergency landings across Europe following bomb threats. None of the threats were confirmed, and no injuries were reported. An Aer Lingus Airbus A320 flying from Dublin to Rome made an emergency landing at Évreux air base in France, where a bomb squad inspected the aircraft. Similar incidents involving Finnair flights from Helsinki, a LOT flight between Warsaw and Brussels, and a Wizz Air flight between Milan and Bucharest were also reported, along with four threats against flights bound for Prague. Authorities have not yet identified the source of the latest threats, though European governments have previously accused Russia of involvement in similar past incidents.
