Instagram tests 90-minute 'Features' videos and 'Clips as Reels' in Brazil and the U.S. to compete with YouTube
Instagram (Meta) announced a test of "Features", a new upload type allowing creator videos up to 90 minutes long. It marks a shift away from the short-form focus of recent years. Instagram head Adam Mosseri said the platform mainly pays creators through brands, with a small performance-based program that loses money. Meta has not committed to a long-term monetization model, though it is exploring ways for creators to earn from brands, fans and Instagram. The article contains no security content. It is product and business news with no direct threat to defenders.
