Apple reportedly to drop non-touch premium MacBook Pro models from 2027 (non-security product news)
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman reportedly said in the Power On newsletter that Apple will discontinue non-touchscreen versions of its premium 16-inch MacBook Pro configurations, with touchscreen models arriving in 2027. The entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro is expected to stay non-touch and reportedly will use an M7 processor and a thinner chassis. The article cites pricing of $1,999 for the 14-inch model and $2,899 for the touchscreen model. The MacBook Neo and MacBook Air remain the low-end and midrange options. This is consumer hardware and business news with no security content, vulnerabilities, or threat activity.
